Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has publicly forgiven the man accused of killing her husband.
She made the emotional declaration on Sunday, September 21, 2025, during a memorial service held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Addressing thousands of mourners, Erika said she was choosing forgiveness in line with her Christian faith and her late husband’s values.
“That man, that young man, I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do,” she told the crowd, drawing applause and tears from attendees.
The accused, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, as earlier reported by First Daily is currently in custody and faces murder charges in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, during a university speaking event.
Erika Kirk also touched on the legal consequences facing Robinson, saying she would not seek the death penalty.
“I do not want that man’s blood on my ledger,” she said, adding that she preferred to leave the decision to the judicial system.
In her remarks, she described her husband as a man committed to faith, family, and national values, and pledged to continue his work.
