The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has deployed two ambulifts at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, as part of efforts to improve services for passengers with reduced mobility.
FAAN disclosed this in a statement issued through its official X account on Thursday.
The authority said the specialised equipment would assist passengers who require additional support when boarding or disembarking from aircraft.
According to FAAN, the deployment is aimed at ensuring that passengers with mobility challenges can access air travel safely, efficiently and with dignity.
“The addition of the ambulifts is aimed at providing the necessary assistance to passengers who may require additional support when boarding or disembarking aircraft, ensuring they receive dignified, safe and efficient care throughout their journey,” the authority stated.
