Reactions have continued to trail Nigerian music star, Davido, after he reportedly lost $50,000 he staked on a bet backing Nigeria to defeat Morocco in the semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The keenly contested encounter between the Super Eagles and the Atlas Lions ended in a goalless draw after 90 minutes and extra time, as both teams failed to break the deadlock.

Prior to the match, Davido had openly expressed confidence in the Super Eagles and placed a $50,000 bet on Nigeria to secure victory.
