Isaac Fayose has taken a swipe at his elder brother, ex-governor Ayodele Fayose, saying he has lost political relevance in Ekiti.
In a video uploaded to Instagram, Isaac questioned the former governor’s continued influence, especially as he campaigns for the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
He didn’t hold back in expressing disappointment over what he sees as silence from former leaders on key issues affecting the state.
“I saw my brother’s video, sending lots of branded T-shirts. BAO for the second term to Ekiti. And I saw his video where he said PDP will come 4th in the next governorship election in the state,” he said.
He reminded Fayose of the PDP’s poor showing in the last election.
“My brother, I want to remind you that even when you were in PDP last election, PDP came 3rd. That shows your electoral value is not so much. You don’t have so much electoral value anymore because you betrayed so many party members and so many people. And they don’t really like your style of politics again.”

According to him, the PDP’s third-place finish was driven by a protest vote in favour of another contender.
“The reason PDP came third was the protest vote for SDP candidate, Segun Oni. Segun Oni still has more electoral value than you, sir, my brother. With all due respect, ‘ee ma binu’ (don’t be upset) with what I said.”
Isaac didn’t stop there, he criticised Oyebanji’s performance as governor and accused the ex-governors of ignoring the realities on ground.
“I can assure you, Oyebanji is not working and if you are sure of yourself, beg Mr president to allow free, fair, and credible elections, not selection. You will see that all of una packed together the former governors, Ekiti people are not with you.
None of you have opened your mouth to say Oyebanji please do something, this Ekiti road is bad, this poverty is too much but when it comes to second term you are championing it,” he stated.
