The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, urged Nigerians to report any loan applications, financial service providers, or businesses that harass them over unpaid loans.
The commission emphasized that “no consumer should live in fear” as a result of debt repayment.
It called on members of the public to use official reporting channels to lodge complaints against companies engaging in intimidation, threats, or unethical collection practices.
According to the FCCPC, such harassment not only violates consumer rights but also undermines confidence in the financial sector.
