‘Forgive Me If I’ve Wronged You,’ Bala Mohammed Tells Bauchi Residents at 67

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has asked for forgiveness from anyone he may have wronged in the course of his public service and leadership journey.

The governor made the appeal on Monday in a reflective message posted on his official Facebook page to mark his 67th birthday.

Expressing gratitude to God, Mohammed said his new age was an opportunity for sober reflection rather than elaborate celebration.

“As I mark my 67th birthday, I am filled with profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for His mercy and guidance throughout my journey in leadership and public service,” he wrote.

“This occasion is not one of elaborate celebrations, but of quiet reflection and thanksgiving for the grace to serve the people of Bauchi State.”

The Bauchi governor, who has been in public life for decades—ranging from civil service to national politics—acknowledged that leadership inevitably comes with tough decisions and misunderstandings. He, therefore, used the moment to seek reconciliation.

“I humbly seek forgiveness from anyone I may have wronged, knowingly or unknowingly, and I reaffirm my commitment to continue leading with fairness, equity, and a deep sense of responsibility,” he said.

“Already, our administration has exceeded public expectations in several key areas, and I am determined to build on this momentum,” he noted.

The governor concluded his message with a call for unity and shared optimism among citizens as Bauchi continues its path toward growth and development.
