The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), a prominent Fulani socio-cultural body, has issued a direct challenge to the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.). KACRAN is urging the Minister to fully leverage the public’s confidence by shifting focus toward strategic, non-kinetic strategies to effectively combat the worsening insecurity across the nation.
In a statement delivered from Damaturu on Wednesday, the 10th of December, 2025, KACRAN’s National President, Khalil Mohammed Bello, emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach beyond mere combat.
Bello implored the Defence Minister to draw upon his extensive military background, utilizing his experience not just in warfare, but specifically in the techniques required for maintaining peace. The goal, according to KACRAN, is to successfully restore normalcy, trust, and a sense of brotherliness within the country by October 2026.

To ensure the success of this critical mission, Bello stressed that collective effort is indispensable: “We want Nigerians to remember that security is a collective responsibility. We call on security operatives, traditional rulers, politicians, and all citizens to provide maximum support to enable the minister to succeed within this short period.”
The Association also pledged its full commitment to the Minister’s mandate, stating: “KACRAN assures the minister of our readiness to provide all necessary support to achieve peaceful coexistence.”
