Turkish champions Galatasaray have reportedly rejected a massive €125 million offer for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen Vc, underlining their determination to keep hold of one of the most sought-after forwards in world football.
The Istanbul-based club is said to have turned down the bid without hesitation, having already dismissed a previous €120 million proposal from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
The decision sends a strong message to Europe’s elite clubs that Galatasaray are unwilling in a new deal that to part ways with the Super Eagles star unless their valuation is met.
Interest in Osimhen continues to grow ahead of the summer transfer window, with Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid all monitoring the 27-year-old’s situation.
Despite the mounting attention, Galatasaray remain adamant that the Nigerian remains central to their long-term plans.
The club’s confidence is backed by Osimhen’s outstanding performances since arriving in Turkey.
The former Napoli striker has established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in Europe, scoring 59 goals in 74 appearances for Galatasaray.
This season alone, he has registered 15 league goals and five assists in 22 matches, while also contributing seven goals and three assists in 10 UEFA Champions League

Galatasaray’s resolve has been strengthened further by the impending departure of Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, whose contract is expected to expire at the end of June.
Losing both Icardi and Osimhen in the same transfer window would significantly weaken the club’s attacking options as they seek to defend their Turkish Süper Lig crown and improve their European campaign next season.
In a bid to convince Osimhen to remain in Istanbul, club officials are reportedly prepared to hand him the captain’s armband and the prestigious No. 9 shirt currently worn by Icardi.
The move is viewed as a symbolic gesture aimed at making the Nigerian international the face of the club’s future project.
Sources close to the club believe such a leadership role may be difficult to secure immediately at clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea, where established dressing-room hierarchies remain firmly in place.
Osimhen has previously spoken positively about life at Galatasaray and has openly expressed his appreciation for the club and its supporters.
Nevertheless, with several European heavyweights still keen on securing his signature, speculation surrounding his future is expected to intensify as the transfer window progresses.
For now, however, Galatasaray have made their position clear: Victor Osimhen is not for sale at a discount.
