Morocco Could Have Beaten Brazil 3–1 With Osimhen Or Lookman — Oliseh

Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has suggested that Morocco might have secured a 3–1 victory over Brazil if they had attackers with the quality of Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen or Ademola Lookman in their squad.

Oliseh made the comment on Sunday via his X account, shortly after Morocco’s 1–1 draw against Brazil in their 2026 FIFA World Cup Group Stage encounter played on Saturday.

He praised the North African side’s overall performance, noting their organisation and balance in both defence and attack during the match.

“Impressive performance by this Moroccan side, defensively and offensively well structured. Had this team had ‘Victor Osimhen or Ademola Lookman’ like players versus Brazil, they could have won by 3 goals to 1 at worst,” he wrote.

The former Nigeria international also argued that Brazil were fortunate to avoid defeat, attributing their result to the influence of key players who helped keep the scoreline level.

“Brazil looking deceptive and thank God they had Vinicius Jr and Raphinha. I loved the belief and evolution from the Moroccans,” he added.

Morocco managed to earn a point against the five-time world champions in a tightly contested match, with Brazil’s Vinicius Jr being named Superior Player of the Match.
