Guinness World Records has officially recognised a concert organised by Dapper Live & Artists in Lagos as the world’s largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats concert.
The global record-keeping body announced the achievement on Tuesday, confirming that 85 musicians performed together during the event titled Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience, held on December 16, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.
According to Guinness World Records, the performance was staged as a live orchestral presentation based on an Afrobeats composition and featured a conductor, a lead singer, an accompanying choir, dancers, and 85 musicians performing in coordination.
The organisation said the event demonstrated how Afrobeats and orchestral music could be seamlessly blended in a large-scale live production.
concert featured performances by Fuji icons King Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika, alongside Afrobeats artistes including T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee, and Dwillsharmony.

Before the official confirmation, the organisers had announced on social media that the record attempt had undergone review and verification by Guinness World Records.
They described the production as an ambitious fusion of Afrobeats, Fuji music, and orchestral arrangements designed to showcase Nigerian musical creativity on a global stage.
Guinness World Records’ official website lists the achievement as “Largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert – 85 musicians by Dapper Live & Artists (Nigeria)”, confirming that the record was set in Lagos on December 16, 2025.
Dapper Live & Artists is associated with Nigerian music executive Damilola Akinwunmi, popularly known as Dapper, founder of the Dapper Group.
The recognition adds another international milestone to Nigeria’s growing influence in global music and highlights the expanding creative possibilities within the Afrobeats genre.
