Gumi to Tinubu: Call in US Ambassador or Cut Ties Over Trump’s Threat

Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi on Sunday the 2nd of November, 2025, has asked President Bola Tinubu to cut off diplomatic relations with the United States after President Donald Trump issued a threat of military intervention in Nigeria.

He urged Tinubu to call in the US ambassador and demand a withdrawal of the remarks or move ahead with ending diplomatic relations.
