Military Threat: Take Your Arrogance Elsewhere — Igbokwe Tells Trump

A prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has pushed back against United States President Donald Trump’s warning of possible military action in Nigeria.

The US leader had warned the Nigerian government to end what he described as Christian genocide or face military steps from Washington.

Responding through a Facebook post, Igbokwe dismissed the warning and made it clear that Trump holds no authority over Nigeria. He stressed that the US leader’s influence stops at America’s borders.

He wrote, “President Trump is the president of America and not the President of Nigeria. He may be a giant in America but not in Nigeria.

“Let President T know this and have inner peace. Trump can carry his arrogance to other countries but not Naija”.

Trump’s comments raised fresh concerns nationwide, stirring debates and reactions.

According to the presidency, President Bola Tinubu is expected to hold a meeting with Trump in the coming days to discuss the matter.
