Joe Igbokwe Rejects Plea for Nnamdi Kanu’s Release: ‘I Feel Like Vomiting’

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has expressed shock over renewed calls for the release of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

His reaction came after veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, urged the Federal Government to consider setting Kanu free.

In a post shared on Instagram, Edochie maintained that freeing the IPOB leader would help restore calm, especially in the South East. She added that Kanu is “too unique to be in captivity”, stressing that “everything he said from beginning to the very end has happened”.

But Igbokwe, in a strongly worded Facebook response, dismissed the actress’ plea. He wrote that he “feels like vomiting” after reading it.

“I just read Mrs Rita Edochie’s plea for Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom and I feel like vomiting.

Maybe she did not know what happened in the South East from 2015 to 2025. This is unbelievable. Mama biko nakpuo be ji. Okwua kariri gi. Alu melu,” Igbokwe stated.
