Ibadan: Ladoja Warns Mogajis, Baales — You’ll Answer for Security Breaches

The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has warned that Mogajis (family heads) and Baales will henceforth be held accountable for any security lapses in their domains.

He gave the charge over the weekend while hosting scores of family heads and Baales at his Bodija residence in Ibadan.

The former Oyo State governor urged traditional rulers to promptly alert security agencies to any threats capable of disrupting peace in their communities.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Chief Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, Ladoja emphasized that Mogajis and Baales must see themselves as chief security officers in their respective areas.

He reminded them of the need to remain vigilant and proactive, stressing that no excuse would be tolerated for negligence.

Ladoja said, “You are the Chief Security Officers in your domains and as such, you will be held responsible for any security lapse in your areas.

You should have the knowledge of the happenings in your environment and if you have any security challenge beyond your control, contact us, we will rise up to the occasion and assist you immediately.”

The Olubadan-designate further pledged to make Ibadan and other parts of Oyo State attractive to investors, insisting that he would not condone any situation that could scare them away.
