A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has strongly criticised Nigerians who have taken to social media to attack businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, widely known as Obi Cubana, over his recent political engagement.
reports that Obi Cubana, a well-known hotelier, was recently named the South-East Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, a pro-APC campaign group working toward President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
The development sparked backlash online, with several commentators faulting the businessman for associating with the APC-led government.
Responding to the criticism, Igbokwe, in a post shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, the 25th of January, 2026, berated those condemning Obi Cubana, insisting they lacked understanding of political realities. He dismissed them as uninformed and ignorant.

He wrote, “Ignorant people and headless mobs everywhere. They are abusing Obi Cubana for accepting to work for APC. They know nothing and they do not care about nothing. They do not know that Politics is superior to Economics.
“Awon compound illiterates gbo gbo. No brain , no faculty, no thinking caps, no common sense even though common sense is not common, no cultural competence, no wisdom and understanding. Go and ask the Jews their experiences with Hitler.”
