The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has introduced a new system that allows candidates to verify their O’level results directly with the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, and other examination bodies responsible for Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, SSCE, results.
The board said the new arrangement would allow candidates to upload their results from home, eliminating the need for unnecessary visits to computer-based test, CBT, centres.
JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, announced the development in a statement issued on Monday, August 24, saying the initiative was part of the board’s efforts to make its services faster, safer and more convenient.
According to him, the technology-driven system would reduce queues and manual processes while making it easier for candidates to complete their admission-related requirements.
“The new arrangement also addresses challenges associated with manual O’level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades,” the statement reads.
Benjamin said JAMB’s eFacility platform had now been integrated with examination bodies, allowing candidates’ results to be checked directly against official records before being uploaded to their profiles.
“Through the integration of JAMB’s eFacility platform with examination bodies, results can now be verified directly against the examination body’s records before being downloaded into the candidate’s profile.”
He explained that the verification and upload process would be completed in two stages.
Candidates are required to first visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng, enter their National Identification Number, NIN, and click “Verify NIN”. They should then select the number of sittings and relevant examination body or bodies before proceeding.

Candidates will provide an email address and telephone number, select “Pay Now” and complete payment through a debit card or bank transfer.
After payment, they will enter their examination details, including examination number, examination series and year, after which the results can be verified and a verification code generated.
For the second stage, candidates are required to send “VERIFY” followed by the verification code to “55019” or “66019”. JAMB will then upload the result and send a notification to the candidate.
Benjamin said candidates with two sittings should access their profiles through the e-facility dashboard, select “2026 UTME O’level upload” and enter the verification code.
The two verified results will be displayed, allowing candidates to select the required subjects, with a minimum of five and maximum of nine subjects. No subject should be selected more than once.
Candidates should then click “Apply the O’level results”, after which a notification confirming successful submission will be sent.
Benjamin said the initiative reflected JAMB Registrar, Segun Aina’s, commitment to improving the board’s services.
He added that JAMB would continue deploying technology and collaborating with examination and government agencies to make its services easier, safer and more accessible to candidates.
