Some journalists in Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya’s convoy, on Thursday, escaped death after a vehicle they were travelling in crashed and the driver died.
They were returning from Bauchi to Gombe with the governor, who went to Bauchi on Wednesday to attend the 4th North-East Governors’ Forum meeting.
After Wednesday’s meeting, the governor had stayed back to be part of the groundbreaking ceremony for the foundation laying for the renovation and upgrading of the Bauchi State Government House, which was laid by the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulum.
On their way back after the Thursday ceremony, the vehicle conveying the state Director-General of Media and Information, Samaila Uba Misilli and several other journalists who accompanied the Governor to Bauchi for the meeting crashed.
