JUST IN: APC Governors, NWC Hold Crucial Talks In Abuja

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the party’s governors are holding a closed-door meeting in Abuja as political consultations intensify ahead of the party’s national convention scheduled for March.

The meeting is taking place at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, with APC governors led by their Chairman, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, and NWC members led by National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda.

Governors in attendance include Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, Kebbi State Governor Mohammed Idris, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia, Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among others.

The party unveiled a detailed timetable last year for its 2026 nationwide ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses, which will culminate in the national convention.

According to party sources, the meeting is expected to focus on the ongoing electronic registration exercise, the conduct of ward and local government congresses, and other pressing national and party-related issues.
