The Kwara State Ministry of Health has launched a three-day Safer Birth Bundle of Care training programme for data collectors to help end preventable maternal and child deaths. The programme, which began on Thursday, is being organised in collaboration with the Strengthening Access to Reproductive and Adolescent Health Project and Laerdal Global Health.
Commissioner for Health, Amina Ahmed El-Imam, said the initiative is a milestone in the state’s efforts to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes, stressing that credible and measurable data is crucial for identifying problems and implementing solutions.
