Kwara Shuts Two Ilorin Schools Over Violent Student Clashes

Chaos in Adeta has triggered a swift response from the Kwara State Government. Two secondary schools in Ilorin have been shut down immediately after repeated waves of student violence, academic disruption, and destruction of property.

Confirming the development, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, said the move was crucial to restore calm and ensure safety.

Only students currently writing their final exams and their teachers are allowed to enter the schools for now.

To be granted entry, exam candidates must carry and display their school ID cards.

The Commissioner also called on parents to keep their children at home, warning that anyone caught violating the order will be picked up by security officials.

The government insists it will continue to enforce order and safety across all public schools in the state.
