Prof Mohammed Isa Kida has been named the next Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Lafia, FULafia.
His appointment was confirmed in a letter issued on the 29th of October, 2025.
According to the document, his administration will run for a single five-year term, starting on the 11th of February, 2026.
The university’s governing council said it believes he will bring his vast professional background to bear on the progress of the institution.

Prof Kida is taking over from Prof Shehu Abdul Rahman, whose tenure ends in February 2026.
Until this elevation, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Management Science and is known for his strong accounting career.
He received his appointment letter from the Chairman of the FULafia Governing Council, Mrs. Lola Fibisola Akande.
