Atlético Madrid stunned FC Barcelona with a commanding 2–0 victory in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash at Camp Nou Wednesday night, putting themselves firmly in control ahead of the return leg in Madrid.

The visitors struck at a crucial moment just before halftime, as Julián Álvarez broke the deadlock in the 45th minute.
