Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has expressed confidence that his side can regain the form that led them to Champions League glory last season ahead of their last-16 clash with Chelsea.
Speaking at PSG’s training ground on Tuesday, the Spaniard said the team has “no doubts whatsoever” about their ability to return to top form.
PSG host Chelsea at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday in the first leg of their tie, meeting for the first time since Chelsea defeated them 3-0 in last July’s Club World Cup final.
PSG enjoyed a historic campaign last season, winning the Champions League for the first time, though the demands of that season have left several players struggling for form and fitness this term.

The Ligue 1 leaders lost 3-1 at home to Monaco last weekend, leaving them just one point ahead of Lens at the top of the table.
Enrique acknowledged the challenges of facing English sides, noting that Chelsea remain a top-class team despite changes in coaching and personnel since last summer.
“All the English teams are exceptional, top-class sides, and Chelsea we know very well,” he said.
The former Barcelona coach added that while retaining the Champions League is challenging, it is less daunting than winning it for the first time. He expressed confidence that PSG can compete for the title again this season.
