Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State visited the Kano residence of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), on Sunday evening, the 22nd of March, 2026.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) shared the update on its official Facebook page.
It stated, “H.E. Governor Seyi Makinde is currently at the residence of the former Governor of Kano State, H.E. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.”
The visit came about an hour after Makinde held talks with Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, in Bauchi.

Recall that Kwankwaso and Makinde had met in Ibadan on the 26th of February in a closed-door session.
The Sunday meeting has drawn attention ahead of the next general elections. A source within the Kwankwasiyya Movement said the visit rests on personal friendship, not political alignment talks.
