A 45-year-old man, identified as Ambrose Mkpati, has reportedly died after allegedly ingesting a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In a post shared by a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Tuesday, the tragic incident occurred late on October 12, in the Topland community of Gbazango, Kubwa.
It was reported that, the deceased’s niece, Ms. Gania Karim, said she received a distress call informing her that Mkpati, a national of the Benin Republic, had consumed the toxic substance and was in critical condition.
Residents in the area reportedly rushed to his aid and took him to the Kubwa General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

His remains have since been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary for preservation and possible autopsy.
A bottle of poisonous substance was recovered from the scene, while police have commenced an investigation to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident.
