Man Dies in Dispute over N4,000 in Ekiti

The Police Command in Ekiti has arrested a man in connection with the killing of another during a fight over N4,000 in Ado Ekiti.

According to intelligence Sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Sunday, the incident occurred on Aug. 15 at Uso community along Ado–Afao road.

The suspect, identified only as Michael from Kafanchan Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and John Dindul Selbol, 26, from Langtang Local Government Area of Plateau State, engaged in a violent fight at about 10:30 p.m.

It was gathered that both men sustained serious injuries during the altercation.

Michael was rushed to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

“Scene of the incident was visited, photographs taken, and the corpse deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy,” the sources said.

Selbol, who also sustained injuries, is receiving treatment at the hospital under police custody while investigation continues.
