Popular Nollywood star, Mary Lazarus has been awarded the ‘Most Peaceful Actress of the Year’ in the just concluded 2021 National Peace Awards.
The role interpreter on Sunday shared pictures of the event and her award certificate on her Instagram page.
According to the pictures she shared, the award ceremony took place in Abuja on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
Although the actress could not make it to the event, she disclosed that she was represented by one of her colleagues, Fawowe Asanu.
The excited actress appreciated the organisers for the recognition.
She wrote, “As we strive to promote peace and cordiality in our society, I’m thrilled to have received the award for being one of the most Peaceful Actors.
“I’m grateful to the organizers – National Peace Awards for finding me worthy to be celebrated.
“Thank you to Dr Suleiman Adejoh, National President Messengers of Peace.
I appreciate this honor.
“Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Fawowe Asanu for representing me yesterday.”
Also, one of the pictures the actress posted on her Instagram page disclosed some of the other awardees at the National Peace Awards to include the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timpriye Silva (Minister of the Year/Amnesty Man of the Year); Managing Director of Vivian Lam Glamour Magazine, Vivian Lam (Media Personality of the Year).
