Media Group Honours PANDEF Leader, Pa Clark, with Documentary on Legacies

As preparations for the burial of ijaw icon and leader of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief Edwin Clark reaches a crescendo, a documentary program in his honour has been put together as part of the catalogue of activities to celebrate him and mark his final passage.

The 30 minutes two part series television documentary is an initiative of First News online national newspaper and will among other things x-ray his pivotal role in the struggle for a better Niger Delta, which necessitated the formation of PANDEF.

The documentary program will be broadcast on major national television stations, including Arise News, Channels, AIT, TVC, and NTA. It will also be aired on regional stations like NDTV, RSTV, ITV, FIRST NEWS Youtube channel, and many other online streaming platforms beginning from May 3rd and 4th 2025.

The management of First News, in a statement at the weekend, said the documentary contains testimonials of those who knew the life and times of the former federal information commissioner at different levels while he was alive.

“We urge the general public to look out for the production of the documentary to celebrate the life and times of an icon and learn about his remarkable journey and accomplishments as well as his many contributions in ensuring a just and egalitarian society.

“It is not only insightful but an inspiring work that will benefit generations to come. It is all about his legacies and tell the story of a man who came, saw, and conquered.”

The late Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark died on February 17, 2025, and will be laid to rest on May 13, 2025, in his hometown of Kiagbodo, Delta State.

The burial ceremony, which begins on May 7, will feature various events, including a public lecture, day of tribute, wrestling contest, service of songs, boat regatta, commendation service, among others before his final interment.
