Human rights advocate Hamdiyya Sidi Sharif, who vanished on Tuesday morning, has now been located in a critical state at Bakura Hospital, Zamfara State.
Her lawyer, Barrister Abba Hikima, broke the silence in a Facebook update, confirming she is currently under security surveillance.
According to him, “it is evident she was abducted,” based on her current condition.

She had disappeared after heading out to buy food in Sokoto town. Until her discovery, all search efforts had hit a dead end.
Hikima has urged the Zamfara State government and relevant security bodies to guarantee her safety and dig deep into the matter.
This incident adds to the growing list of security concerns troubling Northwestern Nigeria.
