A routine police stop in Ogun State has led to a chilling discovery — three human skulls hidden in the belongings of a motorcycle rider.
The suspect, identified as Kadir Owolabi, was intercepted around 2:00 p.m. on Monday by operatives of the 71 Police Mobile Force during a stop-and-search exercise along the Ijebu Ode–Ibadan Expressway, near Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu.
According to police spokesperson CSP Omolola Odutola, officers were carrying out their regular checks when Owolabi’s luggage drew suspicion.
Upon inspection, the grim find was made — three skulls carefully concealed inside.
Further investigation quickly expanded the case. Police traced the matter to Jamiu Yisa, 53, who was arrested behind the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.
