Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has dismissed six aides and suspended the Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission as part of steps to strengthen governance and improve output across the state.
The development was disclosed in Jos on Tuesday, the 17th of March, 2026 in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau.
Jatau said the move forms part of a wider plan to reset the administration for more effective performance.
Those removed from their positions are:
Timothy Golu, Special Adviser on Strategic Communication, Fom Gwottson, Liaison Officer, Jos South, Nanbol Rimvyat, Liaison Officer, Langtang North, Nannim Langyi, Liaison Officer, Langtang North, Paul Datugum, Liaison Officer and Qua’an Pan, Nimchat Rims, Liaison Officer, Langtang South
The statement also confirmed the suspension of Johnbull Shekarau, Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission, over actions considered not in line with the expectations of his office.

All affected officials have been directed to return government property in their custody to the relevant authorities.
Jatau added that the governor acknowledged their service and wished them well in their next pursuits.
“The governor remains committed to ensuring a highly effective and accountable administration, and this exercise forms part of efforts to achieve that goal,” the statement added.
