The Nigerian Air Force has graduated 111 personnel from Special Forces Course 13/2026, reinforcing its efforts to enhance operational effectiveness and strengthen national security.
The graduation ceremony took place at the Regiment Training Centre Annex in Bauchi, where the newly trained operatives completed an intensive programme aimed at preparing them for complex military operations.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Nigerian Air Force described the exercise as a major step in its drive to develop a highly skilled and combat-ready force capable of addressing emerging security threats across the country.
The specialised course provided participants with advanced tactical training, operational knowledge and the resilience required to undertake Special Forces missions in support of both air and joint military operations.
Representing the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, at the event, the Chief of Training, Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Dari, congratulated the graduates on successfully completing the rigorous programme.
He urged the operatives to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline and dedication in the discharge of their duties.

“The true strength of any fighting force lies in the quality, determination and character of its personnel,” Aneke said in a message delivered to the graduates, encouraging them to remain focused on their mission and serve the nation with honour.
Earlier, the Commandant of the Regiment Training Centre Annex, Squadron Leader E.L. Akpan, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to producing highly competent and mission-ready Special Forces operators for the Air Force.
The ceremony featured a series of tactical demonstrations, including obstacle-crossing exercises, commando self-defence drills and air assault operations, showcasing the skills acquired during the training.
Among dignitaries present were the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, Air Vice Marshal A.G. Kehinde; the Air Officer Commanding Special Operations Command, Air Vice Marshal A. Idris, represented by Air Commodore Y. Bashir; and the Director of Regiment, Air Commodore Olayera. Senior military officers, representatives of sister security agencies and other guests also attended the event.
The Air Force said the graduation reflects its continued investment in personnel development and operational excellence, aimed at improving its capacity to deploy air power and support Nigeria’s security objectives.
