The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced the appointment of Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan, mni, as Acting Head of Service.
Her appointment follows the death of Mrs. Grace Adayilo, the former FCTA Head of Service, who passed away on Monday last week.
Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday.
He said Nathan’s appointment takes immediate effect, pending the confirmation of a substantive Head of Service.
“Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan, mni, has been appointed as Acting Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). She was appointed in an acting capacity, pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service,” the statement read.

Until her elevation, Nathan was the Permanent Secretary of the Youth Development Secretariat of the FCTA.
She had also served as the Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the Honourable Minister of the FCT before becoming a Permanent Secretary.
Her new role positions her at the heart of administrative coordination within the FCTA, even as the administration prepares to announce a substantive replacement for the office.
