NDLEA Intercepts Cocaine, Skunk Hidden in Mattresses, Vehicle Parts

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered large quantities of cocaine, skunk, and other illicit drugs concealed in unconventional places, including mattresses and vehicle parts.

This was disclosed by the NDLEA‘s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, in a statement shared on Sunday via X (formerly Twitter).

Accompanying the statement were videos showing the seized substances, with the agency highlighting the unusual methods employed by traffickers to hide the contraband.

The NDLEA wrote: “Narco-trend: Everywhere #ndlea_nigeria officers turned this past week, it was a harvest of arrests and seizures of cocaine, skunk, etc., in unusual places — mattresses, auto parts. Take a quick look at some of them before we serve you the full details in our statement at noon today.”

The agency continues to intensify its crackdown on drug trafficking across the country, warning traffickers against new tactics to evade arrest.
