The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended Arokodare Damil Ebenezer, a businessman operating in Lekki under the guise of Damillionz Takeout, for his involvement in the importation of 60 parcels of “Loud,” a high-potency cannabis strain, from the United States.
The 43-year-old was taken into custody at Bay Lounge on Admiralty Way, Lekki, on March 24, 2025, while awaiting the delivery of his illegal shipment.
The arrest stemmed from the earlier seizure of seven large shipping cartons containing the contraband at a Lagos logistics company on March 12, 2025, by NDLEA personnel from the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation.
A subsequent search of his Lekki residence uncovered an additional 94 grams of Loud, a cannabis grinder, and other drug-related paraphernalia, bringing the total confiscated drugs to 32.24 kilograms. NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi reported that the suspect confessed to commencing his drug trafficking activities in 2017.
In a separate operation at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, NDLEA agents intercepted Omoruyi Terry, who attempted to export 1,400 tablets of tramadol 225mg, weighing 800 grams, to Italy.
Terry was detained at the Terminal 2 screening point while attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to Italy.
Investigations revealed that Terry is a frequent traveler and logistics agent with connections to Italy.

Three male suspects were apprehended while repackaging diazepam tablets, and a female suspect was arrested in possession of the skunk at her residence.
Simultaneously, NDLEA operatives reported the destruction of over 13,198 kilograms of cannabis sativa across Edo State forests and during coordinated raids within the state.
Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), Chairman of the NDLEA, commended the officers for their successful operations and their balanced approach to reducing both drug supply and demand. The agency reiterated its commitment to sustained efforts in combating drug trafficking and abuse throughout Nigeria.
