The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Lagos socialite and nightclub owner, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tuoyo Ideh, alongside over 100 guests during a midnight raid at Proxy Nightclub, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The operation, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025, followed credible intelligence about an alleged drug party at the club.
In a statement signed by the NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the agency said operatives infiltrated the club around 11 p.m. on Saturday before swooping in at about 3 a.m. on Sunday.
“Over 100 suspects, including the owner of the club, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, alias Pretty Mike, were arrested and taken into custody for screening.
Cartons of illicit substances, including Loud and laughing gas, were recovered from suspects at the party and the club’s store,” the statement read.
Tuoyo confirmed his arrest in an Instagram post on Sunday, lamenting that guests were treated “like criminals” despite not committing any offense.
“I have been arrested by the NDLEA from a nightclub in Lagos for basically doing nothing. They made us sit like criminals — over 150 people were taken to NDLEA headquarters, Ikoyi,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, in a related operation, NDLEA operatives at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, intercepted 70 parcels of cocaine concealed in cocoa butter body cream containers bound for London.
The cocaine, weighing 3.6 kilograms, was discovered during cargo examination on October 14. A cargo agent, Lawal Mustapha Olakunle, was arrested, leading to the subsequent arrest of two principal suspects — a female healthcare worker, Ogunmuyide Taiwo Deborah, and the Chief Executive Officer of a travel agency, Mutiu Adebayo Adebiyi.
In Enugu, a 35-year-old Lesotho national, Lemena Mark, was arrested while attempting to smuggle 103.59 grams of methamphetamine concealed in herbal tea packs to the Philippines.
Across other states, NDLEA operatives also recorded significant seizures:
Kwara State: 21,950 tramadol capsules hidden in a water heater; suspect arrested.
Taraba: Two suspects caught with 450,000 pills of tramadol and Exol-5.
Kogi/Nasarawa: Nearly 300kg of cannabis recovered from two separate operations.
Lagos: A Lekki-based woman, Oyonumoh Glory Effiong, arrested with 500g of Loud; another suspect in Ikorodu found with 275 litres of skuchies.

NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.), commended officers across all commands for their efforts and urged them to sustain the agency’s War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign.
“While commending the officers and men of MMIA, AIIA, Lagos, Kwara, Abia, Nasarawa, Kogi, Ondo, Anambra, Taraba, Kaduna, Seme, and Zamfara Commands for the arrests and seizures, I urge them and their colleagues across the country to sustain the momentum in our balanced approach to drug control,” Marwa said.
