NFF Agrees $8.5m Annual Deal With Adidas

The Nigeria Football Federation has reached an agreement with German sportswear giant Adidas on a new partnership reportedly worth $8.5 million annually.

According to a statement by the NFF on Thursday, the deal is expected to take effect following the expiration of the federation’s existing contract with Nike, which has supplied kits and other equipment to Nigeria’s national teams.

Under the proposed agreement, Adidas will provide the NFF with $4.5 million in cash each year, while an additional $4 million will come in the form of equipment, kits and other sporting supplies.

The partnership is expected to cover Nigeria’s various national teams, including the Super Eagles and other men’s and women’s teams competing in international tournaments.

The agreement marks a significant commercial partnership for the NFF, with the federation set to benefit from both direct financial support and the provision of sportswear and equipment.

Adidas’ return as Nigeria’s kit partner would also signal a new chapter in the country’s relationship with the global sportswear brand after the conclusion of the Nike deal.

The NFF is expected to formally announce details of the agreement as preparations continue for the transition to the new kit supplier.

The financial terms would make the reported partnership one of the more significant kit sponsorship arrangements involving an African national football federation.
