Nigeria is set to host the 2026 International Civil Service Conference (ICSC), a major global gathering focused on the future of public administration and governance reforms.
The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), in a statement issued on Saturday, said the conference will hold in Abuja on May 20 and 21, 2026, under the theme: “Reforms, Resilience and Results.”
According to the statement, the conference will bring together public service leaders, governance experts, reform advocates, development partners and international organisations from across Africa and other parts of the world to discuss strategies for strengthening Civil Service systems and improving governance outcomes.
The event is expected to be formally declared open by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, highlighting the Federal Government’s commitment to Civil Service transformation and institutional reforms.
The conference will attract delegates from several countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Switzerland, Ghana, The Gambia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Algeria, Sudan and Indonesia.
Organisers said the conference will feature plenary sessions, technical roundtables, fireside conversations, and interactive engagements focusing on institutional reforms, digital transformation, leadership, workforce development, innovation, accountability, and service delivery.

The event will also include exhibition booths showcasing innovative governance solutions, digital transformation initiatives, and institutional best practices from participating organisations and agencies.
Speaking ahead of the conference, Didi Esther Walson-Jack described the ICSC as a timely platform for strengthening reform momentum and building a more accountable, innovative, and citizen-focused Public Service.
She said the conference would spotlight practical reforms and transformative strategies capable of strengthening resilience in public institutions while delivering measurable governance results.
Mrs. Walson-Jack also appreciated sponsors, development partners, and supporting organisations for their commitment toward the successful hosting of the conference.
