FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on Wednesday attended the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
The three political figures, despite belonging to different parties, were named coordinators of the APC presidential campaign in Rivers, the Federal Capital Territory, Anambra and Osun states, respectively, according to a list released on Tuesday.
Speaking at the inauguration held at the State Banquet Hall in Abuja, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda praised the party’s organisational structure and political reach, claiming it had an extensive network of executives across the country.
“No political party in Nigeria has our structure. We have over 261,000 party executives, from the national to the ward levels,” Yilwatda said.

He also claimed that the APC had 31 governors, alongside two supporting “wingers” from the Southwest and Southeast, whom he identified as members of the Accord Party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), respectively.
Yilwatda further praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying it had recorded significant achievements in its first three years in office.
“Never before has a president demonstrated achievements in terms of policies and projects that can be visibly touched, felt, seen and heard like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
President Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, lawmakers, governors and other political figures were among those present at the inauguration.
The inclusion of Wike, Soludo and Adeleke in the APC campaign structure comes despite their different political affiliations, highlighting the cross-party alliances surrounding the ruling party’s campaign preparations.
