Prominent Nollywood actors gathered in Otun Ekiti on Wednesday, for the Christian wake of Pastor N.A. Adekola, father of celebrated actor Odunlade Adekola.
The late cleric, who passed away in July 2025 at the age of 84, is being laid to rest with a series of funeral rites spanning Ekiti and Ogun states.
A Service of Songs was first held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Christ Apostolic Church, Akole, Abeokuta, before the wake and lying-in-state took place in Otun Ekiti on August 20.
The interment is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025, in Otun Ekiti, followed by a thanksgiving service and reception later the same day.

Actors including Ibrahim Chatta, Muyiwa Ademola, Eniola Ajao, and Ireti Osayemi joined family, friends, and community members to pay their respects.
Their presence reflected both the respect accorded to Pastor Adekola and the solidarity within the Yoruba film industry.
Odunlade, who first announced his father’s passing on Instagram in July 2025, has since received widespread condolence messages from fans, colleagues, and admirers across the country.
