The Northern Christian Association of Nigeria has expressed relief over the safe release of the remaining worshippers abducted in Kurmin Wali community, Kaduna State.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Kaduna, the Chairman of Northern CAN, Rev. Joseph Hayab, described the release as a moment of reassurance for the Church and the affected communities after days of anxiety.
Hayab commended Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, for what he described as decisive and compassionate leadership during the crisis, noting that the governor demonstrated responsiveness to the concerns of the people.
He also praised the efforts of security agencies involved in securing the release of the victims, including the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Police Force and other security operatives.
According to Northern CAN, the successful operation was the result of sustained commitment, professionalism and effective coordination among the security agencies.
The association further acknowledged the roles of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Director-General of the DSS, Adeola Ajayi, and President Bola Tinubu in ensuring the safety of the abducted worshippers.

Hayab said the development reflected effective leadership at both state and federal levels and underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing security challenges.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by promptly reporting suspicious activities.
The Northern CAN chairman reaffirmed the association’s willingness to work with government and security agencies to safeguard churches and communities across Northern Nigeria, stressing the need to protect places of worship and prevent future attacks.
