NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko Applauds Unification of Nigeria Football Supporters Clubs

The Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, on Thursday welcomed the newly unified Nigeria Football Supporters Clubs to his office in Abuja, commending their decision to work together for the progress of Nigerian football.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Vincent Okumagba explained that the various supporters’ groups had responded to a call from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to unify for the greater good of Nigerian football and sports in general.

The delegation briefed the NSC Chairman on their resolution to put aside differences and operate as a single, cohesive unit.

Mallam Dikko praised the move, urging the groups to intensify their efforts to ensure lasting unity.

He emphasized that collaboration among the supporters’ clubs would create a stronger support system for Nigerian football, stating, “When we all work together towards the same goal, success will be guaranteed.”

The NSC Chairman also reminded the delegation of the crucial task ahead—ensuring the Super Eagles secure a spot at the next FIFA World Cup.

He pledged the Commission’s full support to the supporters’ clubs in their efforts to rally behind the national team.

The unification of Nigeria’s football supporters’ groups is expected to bolster morale and create a more coordinated effort in backing the national team, especially as the Super Eagles prepare for upcoming crucial fixtures.
