NSCDC Arrests Alleged Motorcycle Syndicate Kingpin In Nasarawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command, has arrested the alleged kingpin of a motorcycle syndicate operating in Lafia, the state capital.

The suspect, identified as Salihu Ahmadu, popularly known as “Officer” or “Boss,” was arrested on September 8, 2026, around the Gandu area near the Federal University of Lafia.

The command disclosed the arrest in a statement issued on Friday by its Public Relations and Strategic Communications Officer, SC Jerry Victor.

According to the NSCDC, Ahmadu had earlier been named as the alleged leader of the syndicate during a parade of suspects arrested in connection with the case on August 14. He had, however, remained at large until his eventual arrest.

Victor said the command intensified intelligence-led operations aimed at tracking down individuals linked to the syndicate, leading to Ahmadu’s arrest.

The State Commandant, Brah Samson Umoru, commended the personnel involved in the operation for their commitment and vigilance, while assuring residents that the command would continue efforts to dismantle criminal networks across the state.

The NSCDC said Ahmadu would be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction to face prosecution alongside other members of the syndicate who had already been arrested.

The command also urged residents to provide credible and timely information to security agencies to support efforts to prevent and combat criminal activities in Nasarawa State.
