NYSC Urges Corps Members To Adhere Strictly To Safety Guidelines

The National Youth Service Corps has called on prospective corps members posted to Osun State to remain security conscious and strictly follow all safety guidelines during the upcoming orientation exercise.

The Osun State Coordinator of the scheme, Ita Kubiangha, made the appeal in a statement issued on Monday in Osogbo, stressing the importance of vigilance throughout the three-week programme.

Kubiangha advised corps members to conduct themselves responsibly and remain alert at all times, noting that personal safety and adherence to official directives are critical to a successful orientation experience.

He also appealed to parents, guardians, and the general public to support corps members during the exercise, describing the orientation course as a vital phase of the national service scheme.

According to him, the programme is structured to equip participants with essential skills such as paramilitary drills, leadership training, and other activities designed to promote unity, discipline, and self-reliance among Nigerian youths.

“The 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course will commence on April 24, and all prospective corps members are advised to fully comply with directives issued by the scheme,” he said.

Kubiangha further urged stakeholders to collaborate with the NYSC to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the orientation exercise within the stipulated period.

The NYSC orientation camp serves as the foundation of the one-year mandatory national service, bringing together graduates from diverse backgrounds to foster national integration and civic responsibility.
