The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a minor adjustment to the reporting time for candidates sitting the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The announcement was made on Monday, April 13, 2026, via the Board’s official X handle, where it clarified revised instructions for candidates ahead of the examination.
According to the update, candidates scheduled for the first session are now required to arrive at their examination centres by 7:00 a.m., replacing the earlier directive of 6:30 a.m.

JAMB stated that the UTME will commence at 8:30 a.m., stressing that all candidates must be fully seated and undergo mandatory verification and clearance processes before the commencement of the examination.
The Board warned that strict compliance with the revised schedule is compulsory, noting that late arrival could result in candidates being denied access to the examination hall.
It further advised candidates to carefully review their examination notification slips for accurate details of their centres, schedules, and other important instructions ahead of the exercise.
The 2026 UTME is scheduled to hold between Thursday, April 16, 2026, and Saturday, April 25, 2026, across accredited centres nationwide.
