Odegaard Lifts Trophy As Arsenal Return To Glory

Arsenal F.C. have been crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years after a dramatic and emotional end to the 2025/2026 season that confirmed their return to the summit of English football.

The title triumph was officially sealed on Tuesday night when Manchester City F.C. were held to a draw by AFC Bournemouth, mathematically ending the defending champions’ hopes of retaining the crown.

The result sparked jubilant celebrations across north London, with thousands of Arsenal supporters gathering outside the Emirates Stadium to celebrate a long-awaited achievement. Scenes of joy were also witnessed at the club’s London Colney training ground, where players, coaching staff and club officials marked the historic moment together.

Among those spotted joining the overnight celebrations were Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze and Jurrien Timber, who reportedly visited the Emirates Stadium in the early hours of Wednesday morning to celebrate with fans.

Despite securing the title days earlier, the official trophy presentation was reserved for Arsenal’s final Premier League fixture of the season against Crystal Palace F.C. at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

In a show of respect before kick-off, Crystal Palace players formed a guard of honour for the newly crowned champions as Arsenal walked onto the pitch.

Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke gave Arsenal a comfortable two-goal advantage before Jean-Philippe Mateta reduced the deficit late in the game. Palace nearly snatched an equaliser in stoppage time, but Yeremy Pino saw his effort ruled out for offside.

The final whistle confirmed a memorable afternoon as Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard lifted the Premier League trophy, ending the club’s two-decade wait for league glory and sealing their first title since the famous unbeaten “Invincibles” campaign of the 2003/2004 season.

Manager Mikel Arteta has now guided Arsenal back to the top after years of rebuilding, with the club producing one of the most consistent and exciting performances in Europe this season.

The celebrations may not be over yet for the Gunners. Arsenal still have the opportunity to complete a historic double when they face Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in the UEFA Champions League final in Budapest on May 30.

Victory in that match would hand Arsenal the first Champions League title in the club’s history and crown what many supporters already regard as the greatest season the club has ever produced.
