Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on Thursday addressed a gathering of religious leaders at Lambeth Palace, as part of the ongoing state visit to the United Kingdom by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event, held at the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, brought together key figures within the Church of England, reflecting a significant moment of faith-based diplomacy during the high-level visit.
During the engagement, Mrs Tinubu interacted with prominent clerics, including Rose Hudson-Wilkin and Emma Ineson, discussing issues around faith, leadership, and social development.
Her appearance at Lambeth Palace followed a series of ceremonial and diplomatic activities on Wednesday, when she and the president were received by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle.

Earlier that day, the Nigerian delegation was welcomed by the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, who accompanied them to Windsor for the formal ceremonies.
The visit also featured a state banquet hosted by King Charles III in honour of the Nigerian leader and his wife, underscoring the enduring diplomatic and cultural ties between both nations.
Nigeria and the United Kingdom maintain long-standing relations spanning trade, defence, and development cooperation.
London, in particular, remains home to one of the largest Nigerian diaspora communities globally.
Observers say Mrs Tinubu’s engagement with religious leaders adds a human and cultural dimension to the visit, highlighting the role of faith and dialogue in strengthening bilateral relations.
