Onyeka Set For Coventry Switch As Brentford Agree Loan Deal

Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka, is on the verge of completing a loan move from Premier League side Brentford to Championship club Coventry City after all parties reached an agreement on the transfer.

The deal, which is expected to be finalised imminently, includes an option for Coventry City to make the move permanent at the end of the season, subject to agreed conditions.

Onyeka, a regular member of the Nigerian national team, joined Brentford from Danish club FC Midtjylland in 2021 and has featured prominently for the Bees in the Premier League.

However, limited game time in recent months has prompted the move, with Coventry offering the midfielder an opportunity for more consistent first-team action.

Coventry City view Onyeka’s arrival as a significant boost to their midfield options as they push for a strong finish to the season, while Brentford see the loan as a chance for the 26-year-old to regain momentum and sharpness.

The Super Eagles star is expected to undergo medical formalities in the coming days before being unveiled by Coventry City.
