Oshiomhole Empowers 300 Women, Youths with Business Tools in Edo

Edo State lawmaker and former governor, Adams Oshiomhole (APC-Edo), has donated hair dryers, sewing machines, and grinding machines to 300 women and youths in his constituency, aimed at empowering them to generate income.

The lawmaker, who represents Edo North Senatorial District, said the initiative was intended to expose beneficiaries to various sources of livelihood. He was represented at the distribution event on Monday by his Chief of Staff, Victor Oshioke.

Empowering the constituents will further enhance livelihoods and create sustainable opportunities for the people. Today, we are distributing items to improve the well-being of our people. We will continue to strive for development and the betterment of our beloved constituency,” Oshiomhole said.

Also addressing the beneficiaries, Oshiomhole’s legislative aide, Adams Mumin, urged them to use the items responsibly and not sell them, noting that the tools were meant to help them establish their own businesses.

Several beneficiaries, including Iyabo Musa and Abeni Raji, expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, saying the items would provide means of livelihood for their families and reduce reliance on handouts.
