Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has felicitated elder statesman Ebenezer Babatope on his 83rd birthday, recognising his long-standing contributions to national development and democratic governance.
In a congratulatory message posted on Monday by the governor’s spokesperson on X, Adeleke praised Babatope’s dedication to public service and his impactful initiatives during his tenure as Minister of Aviation, noting that his policies delivered significant benefits to Nigerians.
The governor highlighted Babatope’s enduring role in Nigeria’s democratic evolution, tracing his political journey from the Action Group to the Unity Party of Nigeria, and acknowledged the continued value of his counsel in contemporary governance.
“A respected elderstatesman, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, is a voice of reason. His time in public service was marked not just by the execution of duties but by an inspiring devotion to the service of the people,” Adeleke said.
